Natalie + Dylana Suarez X Modern Vice: The Benni
If ever I was to make a (cheesy but true) remark about a shoe company being my "sole mate" it would be in regards to none other than New York shoe label Modern Vice. They continue to woo me with their high pigmented suede shoes, hand sewn leathers, and photos of their family owned factory in the New York garment district. I mean wouldn't a man sewing a shoe on a 90 year old sewing machine make you swoon?
Their most recent collaboration with blogger sisters Natalie + Dylana Suarez is THE BENNI, a Chukka style on a sophisticated tapered toe. It's available in suede, oiled suede, cheetah, and pony hair for fall/winter. It seems perfect to pair with wooly socks and denim while walking through the woods this fall (the oiled suede is waterproof) yet sleek enough to compliment your favorite skirt. It seems this partnership with the Suarez sisters is working out quite nicely if I do say so myself. I can't wait to see what is next!
What I love most about every Modern Vice shoe is that when I look at them not only do I see something that is relevant but something that through great craftsmanship is unmistakably timeless.
These folks are great MAKERS and I cannot wait to pay them and their factory a visit this coming January.
